Where to Ask

For current local custody, start with the Nye County Sheriff's Office detention contacts. County public office hours are generally Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., where applicable, but department hours can vary. Detention, court, and records counters may follow their own schedules, so confirm before visiting.

Use the subject of the request to choose the right channel. Jail custody, booking, and sheriff records are not the same as a court case file, and a state or federal inmate lookup uses a separate system.
